Flavorful Experiences in the Heart of Nature

Erämieli makes it easy to enhance any experience with a delicious meal that will leave a lasting taste memory. You can enjoy a meal alongside nearly any activity—typically at the end of the program, but also available mid-day or at your chosen time. Dining can also be ordered standalone, without any additional services.

Whenever possible, meals are prepared over an open fire, infusing the experience with natural aromas and flavors. During periods of increased wildfire risk, alternate cooking methods may be used. Dining takes place in a cozy, private kota (woodland hut) nestled in the nearby forest canopy.

Any game served is sustainably sourced by the provider and processed hygienically per food-safety regulations. The organizer holds a valid food hygiene certification. All dishes are lactose-free, and vegetarian options are available upon request. Due to the cooking methods, we cannot guarantee fully gluten-free alternatives.

Example Dining Options

 

1. Simple – Relaxed and Effortless
Light open-fire fare, such as sausages to roast—guests grill themselves. Venison sausage may be available to purchase. Drinks include water or juice (or guests may bring their own). Finish with campfire coffee.

2. Two-Course Meal – Traditional and Satisfying
Main: Hearty meat soup (venison or moose, depending on availability). Dessert: a sweet treat served with campfire coffee. Drinks: Water or juice.

3. Three-Course Experience – Full Culinary Adventure

  • Starter: Butter-fried mushroom bread, served with a drink of choice

  • Main: Sous vide–prepped roast of venison, moose, or beef, served with roast potatoes and creamy sauce (paired with a drink of choice)

  • Dessert: Rich “poor knights” (French toast) with whipped cream and strawberry jam, accompanied by campfire coffee
